May 1, 2023 Misfit Monday Post: Coming in late on Misfit Monday with CLEARVIEW CAMERON! This variety is new to me this year so the photo is courtesy of the hybridizer Dick Parshall. Introduced in 2017, it has won both a Les Connel Medal and a Lynn B. Dudley Medal. The reason I chose this particular bloom, besides it being gorgeous, is because ten days ago I used it to test out a quick and easy rooting method. I simply popped a sprout off the tuber and plopped it in a shot glass of water with a green onion and waited. Fun fact: green onions can be used as a natural root hormone. 7 days later: Roots! Very excited for this show stopper to bloom this year!
